The introduction of the New Eye Dominance Aid from Zeiss and Pilla offers a complete solution that is integrated into the lens design.

For years there have been many applications from centering dots to tape to even petroleum jelly on the lens to obscure the eye from cross dominance issues for shooters.

The issue for most is the applications are not a seamless execution nor are they highly effective.

The goal for this new technology was to provide the same excellence in color manipulation and enhancement from Zeiss and Pilla lenses while providing a solution to help with cross dominance.

The enhancement of color with the chosen filter is provided on the directed side for introduced dominance. Meaning a left eye dominant shooter that shoots right-handed will appreciate filtration enhancement in the intended eye.

The use of our new ICE IR lens technology is provided while using a high-performance dielectric flashing technique on the side of the eye to retard visual aptitude thus introducing the chosen eye to take over. The flashed side of the lens is a lower transmittance value than the other side. This effectively provides the eye with a higher level obscuring the visual registration without removing it.

The goal here is to allow the shooter to still have a complete visual sight picture of the target picture while providing an opportunity to have the cross dominance corrected.

The technique has a very specific coating science to help with this application and the application of the dielectric flashing is a proprietary science from Zeiss. The technique is a highly technical process to accomplish with the application of the flashing on 50% of the lens surface.

Each of these new lenses have the same high performance ICE IR coating science as all our Zeiss Pilla lens offering including our 7 layer anti-reflective coating science. The delivery of this technology provides a super crisp and visually defined experience.
