Panthella was originally created in 1971 by Verner Panton in collaboration with Louis Poulsen and is an exceptional design that not only reflects Panton's playful style but also utilizes organic shapes to provide exceptional lighting. The semi-spherical shade directs most of the light downwards, where it is reflected by the trumpet-shaped base, creating a soft, diffuse illumination for the surroundings. The Panthella 250 table lamp is a scaled-down version with a shade measuring 250mm in diameter, making it ideal for various settings.
