The Fender Custom Shop '63 P Bass Journeyman is complete with a single humbucking pickup that provides an incredibly powerful, deep sound, thrives at high outputs and offers a tone completely unlike any other bass pickup on the market. This is because it was hand wound in the custom shop, so it delivers a bespoke experience that is fully tailorable to your taste. The body is made out of two-piece select alder, which offers a balanced and warm tone that holds an exceptional resonance that will allow you to hold those long notes for an eternity. It is also a lightweight tonewood, which enhanced the guitars playability, as well as your manoeuvrability on stage. The neck is built from quartersawn maple which is sure to feel fantastic in your hands, as well as providing a highly durable and long-lasting performance. Ready to withstand all the trials of life on the road, the maple neck also brings a more lively brightness to the mix that is evident in the mid-high range, for crystal clear, shimmering highs.

Featuring a four-saddle vintage-style bridge which works in unison with the bone nut and chrome tuning pegs to ensure optimum tuning stability, so you can say goodbye to re-tuning between every song. What's more, these key components also help to hold a comfortable and fully adjustable action over the strings, reducing any strain while you play and allowing you to push the limits of your technique further than ever before.

The fretboard is made from round-laminated rosewood, providing a smooth playing surface that will have you gliding between the frets with complete ease. This effect that is compounded when you consider the nitrocellulose lacquer finish featured on the neck. All of the hardware is chrome, and guarantees a durable performance as well as complementing the beautiful Olympic white finish.
