Camden 500 — preamp by Cranborne Audio

Amazing sounding preamp with a really quiet and clean circuit, continuous Mojo saturation, high pass filter, wonderful DI, phantom power and phase reverse. It takes literally any level. And at the minimum gain can easily handle line level audio from DAW to process it. How does Mojo sounds? Thump is just a cannon on drums, it adds harmonics depend on signal. So no any EQ can do that in such a controllable way. Really powerful processing to add punch and glue to drums and emphasise transients. Other setting is Cream which is more related to tube saturation. I rarely used it fully dialled because it’s too much for my genre, but being around 50% it certainly does its magic. Plenty of headroom and quite hot circuit, like on high voltage console equipment, makes this pre really good for tracking. I complemented it with a simple transformer DI, it overdrives easily in a very pleasant way. Switchable high Pass Filter also cleans up low end below 70-80hz when it is needed. And phase coherence without filter and Mojo is impressive: first time I was able to hear how the kick on my drum machine is really sounding.
