The Korg MS-20 is a semi-modular monophonic analog synthesizer, first released in 1978 by Korg. It quickly gained popularity due to its powerful filters, flexible patching options, and raw analog character. The synth features two VCOs (Voltage Controlled Oscillators) and a unique high-pass and low-pass filter with extreme resonance, giving it a distinct and often aggressive sound.

One of the most innovative aspects of the MS-20 is its External Signal Processor (ESP), allowing users to process external audio signals and manipulate them through the synth’s circuits. This makes it a favorite among experimental musicians and sound designers.
