The house has a private pier in front with good fishing opportunities from land. At Torvastad you can experience Haugaland Zoo with 250 animals in a 41-yard large park. It is walking distance to the golf course from the house. Otherwise, it is a short distance to Avaldsnes with the Viking farm from Harald Hårfagre's time. With just a short drive you reach Haugesund with restaurants on the pier, a cozy pedestrian street and a number of cultural events. Also experience the small town of Åkrahamn with Åkrasanden, previously voted Norway's finest sandy beach. Take the trip to the idyllic sailing ship town of Skudeneshavn, an important entry point from the North Sea. Day trips to the Stavanger region with Kongeparken and Lysefjorden with the Pulpit Rock are recommended. It is only 10 minutes to Haugesund airport Karmøy from the house, transportation can be arranged with the homeowner at an additional fee.
