Rural Brittany Holiday Gites

Relax and enjoy your holiday in stunning rural Brittany with beautiful accommodation. “A secluded home away from home” giving you everything you need for a lovely relaxing holiday. We are situated in the middle of Brittany so travelling in all directions of this beautiful part of France is easy. La Jolie Maison Gite offers you oodles of green space, 6 acres of woodlands and a small lake. Lovely accommodation to meet the needs of couples and family groups. (Child friendly) Accomodation: A traditional house with 3 bedrooms. 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom and 1 twin bedroom on the ground floor,1 shower room. Courtyard garden with table and chairs with a stone built BBQ. Quality bed linen and Christy bathroom towels are provided. La Grange gite is opposite La Jolie Maison gite which sleeps 6, should you wish to book 2 gites together accommodating 12 guests in total. A shared large games room including a Pool table, Darts, WiFi, a wide variety of english books, Board games, childrens games, toys and comfortable sofas. “Great to relax in after a day out sightseeing." The outside space includes table tennis, badminton, football goal, swings and a solid climbing frame with slide and a play area. A swing down by the lake and seating to watch different kinds of wildlife around the little lake. Gaze at the stars at night. We have 2 goats, 2 chickens, a Turkey, 2 miniature Daschunds and a scruffy little rescue dog who provide hours of fun and finally 3 cats. Things to do in the surrounding area: There are plenty of outdoor fruit and veg markets around, a list is available. Brocantes (French car boot) most weekends. A list is available. We have our own small lake in the woodlands, where you can spend an hour or the whole day fishing for perch, roach and carp. Adult and child fishing rods available. Lac De Guerledan - Water skiing, Wakeboarding, Kayaking/ Canoeing, Paddle boarding, Quad bikes, Pedalos. A walk around part of the lake or a 45 kilometre bike ride. Boat ride around the lake with a meal. 30 minutes. Adult Go Karting in Lamballe - 40 minutes. Fishing is just 10 minutes away at Bos Merleac. A license is required. We can help you with this. Le Mont St Michel is just 1h 40 away and is one of Frances most recognisable landmarks. The closest beach to the North is Pleneuf-Val-Andre - 35 minutes. The closest Southern beach is Carnac - 1h 20. We love the north, Perros Guirec ( Pink Granite Coast) 1h 20 Saint Guillaume, Loudeac. Horse & Pony riding schools - 20 mins. Les Aquatides Swimming pool in Loudeac with water slides and sauna - 20 mins. Cycling - Geo caching ( You can download an app for this). There are cycle routes everywhere, including la Rigole d`Hilvern & Lac De Guerledan Manoir de L`automobile, Loheac - One of the biggest car museums in Europe - 1h 30 Other places of interest: Quintin, Bon Repos, Moncontour, Forges des Salles, Pontivy, St Brieuc, Josselin, Vannes, Rennes, Pontrieuex, Cap Frehel, Plancoet, Paimpont.
