LA VIE EN ROSE is a classic mid-century modern home set in the Beachside district of Key West, just a couple blocks from Smathers Beach on Rose Street. Surrounded by a privacy wall, this two-story, four-bedroom home boasts a lushly landscaped front and backyard, spacious brick patio, and free form swimming pool. THE LOCATION. The Beachside neighborhood of Old Town Key West is a quiet, mostly residential neighborhood on the southern side of the island. Just a couple blocks from the west end of Smathers Beach off Atlantic Blvd, and just down the street from Higgs Beach, LA VIE EN ROSE is a dream for beach-lovers who prefer to pack their coolers and towels and walk the few steps down to the sand and water. Watch the sunset from Smathers beach or the White Street Pier just around the corner. Take the short stroll to Salute for a beachside meal, or bike ride down to Duval Street or the Historic Seaport for the most popular Key West attractions. THE LIVING AREA & KITCHEN. LA VIE EN ROSE is handsomely yet simply furnished in a style that reflects its modern architectural roots. There is plenty of space to spread out in the living area, which is surrounded by French doors on three sides, with a spiral staircase that is pure mid century modern. The kitchen is just off the first living area, with stainless steel appliances and all of the tools and equipment you will need to create a gourmet meal. The dining area is just across from the kitchen, with space for up to six diners at the dining table. There are three more stools at the kitchen bar for extra guests or a casual bite. At the back of the house is a home office with a full bathroom. THE POOL & GROUNDS. You can really live outside in this back yard, with plenty of space providing great sunlight all day. The pool is heated for the winter, chilled for the summer and is very large, even big enough for swimming laps. When you've had enough sun, have a drink under the shady palm trees.
