Your holiday home (village 1, house no. 30) is located in a holiday home park in the North Hessian highlands. The holiday home plots are surrounded by their own lawns, and the houses are modern and comfortably furnished. For leisure activities there is a fitness trail, hiking trails and a swimming area by the nearby lake. Rotkäppchenland is nestled between Knüllwald and Fuldatal in the middle of the mountainous North Hessian region. The name is reminiscent of the home of the Brothers Grimm and belongs to the German Fairy Tale Route. Numerous well-developed hiking and cycling trails invite you to explore culture and nature, such as the Rotkäppchenland railway cycle path, the Schwalm cycle path and the Fulda cycle path. The Rotkäppchenland is also characterised by a large number of museums that provide excellent insights into the history of the country and numerous special features. One of the highly recommended excursions is Bad Hersfeld, only 15 km away, which welcomes its visitors with a charming, half-timbered old town as well as numerous spa, cultural and leisure activities. The monastery ruins are considered the largest Romanesque basilica north of the Alps and are now the largest Romanesque church ruins in the world.
