Le Petit Gîte de Langon: ecology, calm, light, wide view of the valley.

Le Petit Gîte de Langon is located in the remarkable "listed site" of Corbinières, in the country of Redon, in Brittany. Its windows open onto a wide view: the Vilaine valley, the marsh, wooded massifs, a beautiful hilly countryside punctuated by steeples and wind turbines on the horizon. An ideal base for hiking, to discover the cultural and natural heritage. And to live delicious moments of relaxation, quietly installed in the pretty garden or in the cozy house, by the fireside. Beyond the garden, the Domaine de la Moisonnais covers 3 hectares freely accessible to guests of the Petit Gîte. In this natural setting preserved from meadows, woods and paths you may come across deer, a hare, or a badger. HOUSING The exposure is South / South -East, the cottage has a beautiful light. The floor area is 35 m2, to which is added the mezzanine The large living room is organized into a living room / kitchen / dining area (in front of a large window). The bathroom with spacious walk-in shower is located on the ground floor. A double bed (140) is installed in the mezzanine and a 2-seater Bz sofa (160) in the living room. The mezzanine is secure as well as the staircase. The roller shutters are electric. WIFI and a flat screen TV are at your disposal. A wood stove is enough to heat the main room, which also has electric heating. A towel radiator heats the bathroom. Wood is provided. You will have at your disposal: fridge, washing machine, (tumble dryer possible), dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee maker, electric toaster and kettle, hair dryer, iron, radio / CD player…. The cot and high chair are provided on request. Coat racks are installed on the garden level and a wardrobe in the mezzanine. On the terrace you will have garden furniture, barbecue, and parasol. A second small garden furniture is hidden a little further, in the shade of the trees. You can shelter bikes in a room adjacent to the accommodation. The parking is private and spacious. Two GUIDES are prepared for you and left in the gîte. A PRACTICAL GUIDE: emergency number, useful addresses (shops, services.), "how to" of the gîte, WIFI code. A TOURIST GUIDE with many ideas for hikes, tours, activities. ECOLOGY is a real commitment The estate is maintained organically. It is classified "Refuge" by the Protective League of Birds. You will live in a healthy and comfortable house in all seasons. The building materials of the Petit Gîte are natural: mainly wood and blue shale stone, hemp insulation. The living room and its mezzanine are made of wood, inside and out. We opened an interior door to the stone house dating from the 17th century, to create the bathroom and the storage room. The paints, stains and cleaning products are biological. You will have wooden furniture, natural latex mattresses, pure wool blankets, natural cleaning products, a composter in the garden, collected rainwater (outside), organic aromatic herbs in garden: thyme, chives, oregano, borage, bay leaf, sage. The numerous trees are listed to soon constitute a documented arboretum                 LOCATION The Haute Bretagne Departmental Tourism Committee (Ministry of Tourism) has awarded a 3 STAR Classification to the Petit Gite de Langon, open since April 2015. The cottage accommodates 2 people. - Weekly: from Saturday (4 p.m.) to Saturday (11 a.m.). - For a minimum of 2 nights (same hours). Cleaning is the responsibility of the tenant. We offer the service at an additional cost for 40 euros. Bed linen and towels are provided. YOUR ARRIVAL As soon as you make your reservation, we will send you an email indicating: the details of the journey over the last kilometers from the 2X2 Rennes / Nantes exit, GPS coordinates, a reminder of our telephone numbers and precise address, a choice shops where you can possibly do some shopping before arriving at the Petit Gîte de Langon. To the northeast is the legendary Brocéliande forest. Towards the SOUTH you can discover GUERANDE, its salt marshes, the Nantes region. To the east, at the gates of Brittany, stand two medieval cities: VITRE and FOUGÈRES. Finally, you may head west to VANNES and the Gulf of Morbihan. The nearest beaches to the cottage are in Damgan or Penestin, 66kms away. PATHS: A whole network of marked and maintained paths will take you from the river to the wooded hills, from small villages with slate roofs to old mansions bordered by large trees. - 900m from the Petit Gîte passes the HALAGE PATH along the Vilaine river for 95 km from Rennes to Redon, where it joins the Nantes to Brest canal, then the Blavet or the Sèvre nantaise. - 3 THEMATIC HIKING CIRCUITS will make you discover Langon; "From the Vilaine to the young ladies", "From the stone to the building". Our favorite, "Attacking the Corbinières", goes to the door of the Petit Gîte! - Mountain biking trail marked "the hills" - Many other HIKING CIRCUITS in the surroundings, on foot by bike, on horseback and of RIVERS and CANALS for boats and canoes. GEOCACHING is offered free of charge by the Departmental Tourism Committee: you download the free application "Treasures of Upper Brittany" on your smartphone and go on a treasure hunt (GPS loan possible by reservation at the Maison du tourisme de Redon)                          ACTIVITIES Theme parks, sports activities, visits to museums, craftsmen, exhibitions, festivities, shows await you throughout the season in Pays de Redon.
