Escape to the beautiful countryside in the heart of France. We offer adults-only accommodation (2 units), each with private gardens. 'Le Laurier' offers the added luxury of a 4-seater outdoor hot tub. Ideally located for exploring the 'real' France. 'Le Laurier' is a one-bedroom cottage, open plan, with private shower room. The cottage boasts use of original features such as oak beam, stone walls and cattle stalls. The bedroom has a luxury king-size bed with quality bedding for a good night's sleep. The shower room has a large-sized shower cubicle, thermostatically controlled shower, his'n'hers basins, heated towel rail, and a hairdryer. The fully-equipped country style kitchen includes a cooker, fridge and dishwasher and is designed to cater for 4 persons, should you come with friends and wish to book our other cottage too. The airy living area has a log burner, comfortable sofa, and leather armchairs. Step outside onto your private terrace and garden to find the hot tub for your exclusive use, dining furniture, parasol, bbq and sun loungers. The price includes hire of all linen/towels/bathrobes and a generous arrival hamper of basic provisions. We don't charge extra for utilities either! Onsite parking; secure parking for motorbikes; secure storage for bicycles, canoes etc. You have a private garden/terrace plus access to a number of communal areas such as the woodland garden and orchard. Note: we do offer free WiFi access, however we are in the middle of the countryside so it is not to city-standards! Set amongst established shrubs and trees, fruit trees and meadow, this one-acre plot provides beautiful countryside views of rolling hills, woodland, and the river. The plot is made up of the owner's cottage, the two self-catering cottages located in the detached converted barn, and a glamping tent in the field, all for adults only. A haven for nature lovers, you will find plenty of marked walks to choose from. The nearby town of Arnac-Pompadour is a horse-lover's paradise with its regular racing and showjumping events, stud farm and mare & foal farm. The picturesque medieval village of Segur-le-Chateau is a treat to explore and holds a weekly evening farmer's market (with entertainment) throughout July and August. Other nearby activities include walking, fishing, canoeing, teleskiing, swimming, sightseeing, castles/history, wildlife watching, chilling out. We pride ourselves in providing a peaceful retreat from a hectic life, and whilst we like children, our accommodation is not suitable for the under 18s.
