On a former wine maker's property, the whole of this "Maison de Maître" is available for holidays or business trips, and has a been accredited 4 stars by Côte d'Or Tourisme. L'Ancien Domaine has also been accepted into the Vignobles et Decouvertes programme. Spacious accommodation is offered, providing 3 individually decorated bedrooms each with their own private bathroom (all with WC). The new, comfy, extra large beds can also be separated into single beds if desired. All linens are of a high quality, 100% cotton, and are professionally laundered. The ensuites all have good sized showers with a strong flow, each with 2 shower heads, and the larger ensuite also has a bath and twin sinks. The water is heated on demand, so no restrictions of use nor waiting for a tank to reheat. On the ground floor there is an extra WC, a kitchen, a separate dining room, and two sitting rooms - one an informal TV room and the other more formal for games, reading, meetings or an aperitif before dinner. You have space to live and not be on top of each other. The kitchen is well equipped and there are extra, good wine glasses and crockery for more formal dining. The TV is a large flat screen TV with TNT satellite channels, a DVD player and selection of DVDs in various languages. There is also a JBL bluetooth speaker to listen to your own music from internet radio, and some indoor games. Wifi is available and free. The property is now connected to internet via Fibre. The house has been fully renovated whilst retaining many original features such as "tommettes" floor tiles, solid wood flooring, crystal chandeliers, porch glass marquise, marble fireplace. It is centrally heated throughout, with an additional real flame gas fire in the formal sitting room which provides instant heat and ambience without the wait or cleaning. Combined with the rugs, you can be cosy inside all year round, even if the weather outside isn't the best. In the heat, the tommettes, thick walls and shutters help to cool things down, but there are some mobile fans if needed. Front and back entrances to the house allow separate access if needed. Secure off-road parking is in the courtyard and can take several cars. The large courtyard has planted areas and provides good shade on hot days. Al fresco dining is on a wrought iron garden suite and outdoor games include table tennis, skittles and pétanque. Barbecue. There are also some loungers to lie out in the sun, and herbs and fig trees that you can help yourself to. The courtyard has not been planted for ease of maintenance but to provide a variety of flowers and herbs, with something to see nearly all year round. L’Ancien Domaine is located at the edge of a quiet village (which has essential shops), next to the countryside but only 5 mins from Beaune, Pommard, Volnay and Meursault. A meal from a caterer for arrival day can be arranged for you with prior notice. Please contact us for details. We welcome pets with and there is no extra supplement for this. However, they need to be declared in advance. Bedding, towels, heating, and between guest cleaning are all included in our tarif. We also place many kitchen and bathroom essentials in the house to help guests (such as oil, salt, pepper, sugar, loo roll, etc). We live in a building found behind the house and have our own separate outdoor spaces and access. We are available for and happy to provide any assistance or advice, but otherwise leave you alone to enjoy your stay in privacy. Think of us as your friendly neighbour. Nightly price is reduced for stays of 7 nights and longer - the system should automatically apply this. If only 2 persons wish to stay, there is a possibility, on late availability or in low season, to block off half the house (staying in the blue room with the large bathroom, and with the kitchen, tv room and extra WC) and offer a reduced rate. SWIMMING - Beaune Côté Plage is only 5 mins away from the house, which has 4 naturally filtered open air swimming pools, with lots of activities for children. with lifeguards. Restaurants also onsite. CHILDREN - You are welcome to bring you children but please be advised that this is an old house and there are low set windows upstairs and hard floors. It has not been safety adapted for young children, nor is there equipment or facilities for them, and do we not allow you to install your own safety equipment.
