There are several other attractive villages locally, and the town of St Jean d'Angély (18kms) which has a beach lake, pedallos and entertainment. The coast is within an hour and days out to famous sites such as La Rochelle, the islands and the distilleries of Cognac offer a variety of entertainment, whilst there is also Futuroscope just under an hour and a half to the North.
