This holiday apartment complex near Doorn will pleasantly surprise you! It is an attractive family park with a special focus on families with small children, who by all means will feel comfortable and at ease here. An ideal operating base from which to take a breather or, on the contrary, to have an active and adventurous holiday. Take time to enjoy the charming countryside around Doorn, particularly the Utrecht Hill Range. You will be stunned by the peace and quiet, the space and the hospitality of the region. During summer months an outdoor swimming pool is at your disposal. The water is warmed to approximately 25 degrees. Toddlers can have loads of fun in the small paddling pool with tiny slide and sprayers or on the playground. There is a sunbathing area by the pool with chaise lounges and a view of the pool. Other facilities include an all-weather tennis court, a lawn bowling course, a sports field, bicycle rental, wireless Internet via a Hotspot, a playground, a launderette and table tennis. During the high season (July to August inclusive) a recreational team is busy at work. The team offers an amusing and varied program including handcrafts, sports competitions, playback shows, theatre, lantern processions, scavenger hunts, bingo and an outdoor action camp. This luxurious apartment can accommodate a maximum of 4 persons. The total (living) area of the apartment is approx. 90 m². The open kitchen is equipped with a 2-burner stove, a fridge, a coffeemaker and an electric kettle. There is a dining table and chairs across from the kitchen. There are two bedrooms, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. Both bedrooms are furnished with two single beds. The apartment has a bathroom on the first floor with a bathtub, shower and wash basin. The beds are provided with comforters. The apartment also has a small furnished balcony. Thanks to the central location of this holiday park, you will never spend too much time traveling in order to reach various places of interest. The peace and quiet of the “Utrechtse Heuvelrug” National Park (the Utrecht Hill Range) or the hustle and bustle of the towns – it all lies close at hand! Discover at your own tempo the magnificent scenery of the National Park where you can walk or cycle for hours. The 6000 hectare large “Utrechtse Heuvelrug” National Park has a large variety of landscapes. In addition to the easily recognizable lateral moraine, there are moors, drifting sands and washlands - all part and parcel of the National Park. Moreover, there are plenty of animal inhabitants: deer, badger, squirrel, Mustelidae (weasel/pole cat) and more than 100 different bird species. The woods and rural estates are ideal for hikers. For the less-able there is a wheelchair path through the Cape Woods (“Kaapse Bossen”) by St. Helen Hill near Doorn. The National Park also has a lot of cultural history to offer. There is much to see in the area: many country houses and castles, protected villages and townscapes (Amerongen, Driebergen-Rijssenburg, Rhenen and Zeist), the countryside and parks of the Lustwarande convent, tobacco barns and sheep pens. You can visit the little historical town of Wijk Bij Duurstede or one of the castles in the neighbourhood, such as “Huis Doorn” Castle or Amerongen Castle. Shopping can be done in Veenendaal, Amersfoort or Zeist and enjoyable Lake “Henschotermeer” is within biking distance from the park. There is also the Aviation Museum in Soesterberg or Utrecht Cathedral Tower- both worth a visit. Or, if you prefer, you can just spend the day taking your kids to the Ouwehands Zoo in Rhenen or the zoo in Amersfoort.
