We are ideally situated for visiting the many local places of interest, including the beautiful riverside town of Brantome, local chateaux, major cities of Perigueux and Angouleme, historical buildings, caves, rivers, pathways, and markets. The wine growing region of Ste Emilion is less than a two hour drive. the location is ideal for painters, walkers, tourists, cyclists, and motorcycle tourers, young or old. The town of Mareuil is a short 5 minute drive away, where you'll find a local market on Tuesdays, supermarkets, banks, hairdressers, boulangeries, tabac and local restaurant and pizza shop. The spacious bedrooms within this tastefully renovated old railway building are accessed via the front door of the property and are self contained behind double doors at the end of the entry hall.
