Farmhouse on historic Austrått with experiences such as sea kayaking, golf, fishing, sailing, biking and hiking in the surrounding area. Kårstua is a pleasant house with a soul. Austråttborgen, Austrått Fort, Austråttlunden, the golf course and marina are our closest neighbors. The house is newly restored with 4/5 bedrooms and 16 beds. 2 bathrooms, laundry room with washer and dryer, attic room with access to balcony, kitchen, dining room, living room and a large conservatory with access to pleasant patio with fireplace. Austrått Fort and Austråttlunden, with great hiking trails, are just across the road. Deer, moose and rich bird life can be found in the grove and on the Ramsau area in Hovsfjyra. At Austrått camping is a fine sandy beach, although the bathing temperature can be fresh. In the farm, sheep and lambs are grazing on the breed Norwegian fur. Our guests have a share in Austrått cooperative farming and can harvest the vegetables and berries of the season. The kitchen is amply equipped for self-catering, and on the patio there is both a fireplace and a fireplace for barbecues. We rent out Kårstua together, and it fits well with large families, or several families or groups that know each other. We rent out fishing boats and sailboats as well as kayaks and bicycles. The golf course is right by the house. Gretha Skaug rents out kayaks for those who have wet cards, and is a guide and instructor for those who want to learn and paddle or want to arrange trips. The municipality of Ørland rents out bikes and we assist with pick-up and delivery. The new manor trails and the trail network in Austråttlunden have miles of beautiful hiking trails. Ørlandet is Norway Denmark and excellent for cycling. Nice cycle routes along the Stjørnfjord to Høybakken and Stallvika. Here you can cycle through Romstad Farm which produces and sells local specialties when it comes to farm food. You can also cycle to Garten to take the ferry over to Storfosna and cycle to Kråkvåg. Beautiful islands with nice swimming beaches in the middle of the Ramsau area. On Austrått, old and newer history is gathered. Austråttborg Castle and Austrått Fort have guided tours daily during the summer season. Otherwise during the year you can book a tour. There is a café at the cultural center at the golf course and at Austråttborg, in the summer season. At Brekstad (6 km) there are many cafes and restaurants. Ørland Kysthotell, Hovde farm, Melissa and the coast girls are good places with good food. Gallery Empathy, Uthaugsgården, the sunset at Uthaug, cinema and concerts at Kulturhuset are other experiences Ørlandet has and offers. In the neighboring municipality of Bjugn there are many scenic places with a great archipelago for paddling and cycling. Sailing to the old herring site Råkvågen is a nice trip from Austrått. Råkvågen has a nice harbor with several restaurants. "Storfeskbaill" is a butcher.
