On this two-hectare park, which is a true arboretum, stands this recently completely renovated natural house, next to the old watermill with a house from 1710 where much has been preserved, and which is therefore very nice to visit. It is a cozy four-person house, with a cozy salon with a wood burning stove downstairs (no TV, but a hi-fi music system with many CDs in all genres), a pleasant kitchen, a spacious walk-in shower and upstairs two bedrooms accessible via an indoor and outside staircase. All rooms have wooden floors with 50 cm thick walls and the roof is extra well insulated. This makes it warm in the winter and pleasantly cool inside in the summer. The property is free on the property, so very private! Use may be made of the entire estate. Outside in the garden are a large picnic table, separate chairs, a second table and a large umbrella. A Weber barbecue can also be used if desired. There is much to experience for children: building huts, making little dams in the rivers, rocking or jumping on the large trampoline! The house is surrounded by the rolling hills of the Limousin, in the department of Creuse near the nice town of Dun le Palestel. In the park around the house are many trees, plants and flowers, a large pond (150 meters long) where you can walk around, exciting bamboo groves, rivers, pools and fruit trees. We regularly see foxes, deer, beautiful birds and all kinds of other beautiful things here! The starry skies are enchantingly beautiful because there is no "light pollution" here and the air here is among the cleanest in Europe due to the absence of polluting industries. It is beautiful here in all seasons. Not only the summers but also the spring and autumn (Indian Summer) are a real pleasure to experience. The temperatures are often very pleasant. There is a wood burning stove in the cottage for pleasant evenings. The area is dotted with many walking and cycling routes. You can also go canoeing, boating, swimming in many lakes and rivers, fishing or visiting museums (Vallée des peintres Monet, etc.) in the area. The Sédelle, a river that ends in the Creuse River, is a 10-minute drive away. There you will find the beautiful arboretum de la Sédelle and you can take a great walk to and from Crozant with its beautiful views and ancient ruins. Cities such as La Souterraine (Route de Compostela), Chateauroux and Limoges are easy to visit in one day. Many typical French villages are a few kilometers away. Flea markets are organized throughout the summer on weekends. The light is very special here at certain times of the day, which is why well-known artists like to come and paint in the Creuse.
