Large, quiet gite for family holidays between Charente and Dordogne

Our cottage is a large farmhouse renovated with modern and ecological materials which we have retained the charm of a 19th century facade with its fireplace including a bread oven. Large bright volumes offered in the living room with mezzanine, the adjoining kitchen is modern and fully equipped. A suite is available on the ground floor. Equipped with a 140 bed, bathroom, wc, it is suitable for people with reduced mobility and can accommodate an extra bed or a cot. Upstairs, two large family rooms each with a 140 cm bed and extra beds and a dormitory with 4 pull-out twin beds and an extra BZ. The terraces on both sides are available to the occupants to install the barbecue and enjoy the garden furniture and parasol. The first neighbors (owners) are 100 m away. The view is clear and the gîte is at the end of a 200 m dead end. Our cottage can welcome you in any season. Lovers of forests, hiking, mountain biking will appreciate the Horte forest and its proximity to the Périgord Vert in Dordogne. Romanesque architecture and castles are also abundant in the vicinity. The most imposing surroundings are surely those of La Rochefoucauld, Mareuil or Villebois-Lavalette, but many other places are worth a visit, including Brantôme or Aubeterre for a day trip.
