We are renting a 2 bedroom 3 storey house in a quiet little village 5 minutes away from Jarnac. Ground floor: small outdoor terrace/ entrance on lounge (TV, fireplace) / kitchen / bathroom (washing machine) 1st floor: 1 bedroom with 2 single beds 2nd floor: 1 bedroom with large double bed Very nice and green surroundings, cascades and swimming area nearby 15 minutes from Cognac town, 40 minutes from Saintes, 30 minutes Angouleme Various activities at hand: Visits and tasting in of the cognac houses, riverside walks, canoeing, water skiing, cycling, golf, visiting historic towns and villages. Day trip to Bordeaux or La Rochelle, Atlantic coast and its islands (Ile de Re, ile d'Oleron, Aix) about 1h15 away. Festivals throughout the summer (Blues Passions early July in Jarnac and Cognac, Fete du Cognac last week end of July.) Local amenities situated less than 100 meters from the house (shop offering from Monday to Sunday fresh bread and croissants, newspapers, vegetables and fruits etc.) Markets Friday and Sunday in Jarnac, Friday near the village.
