Le Moulin de Bardéas is situated on the ground floor of a detached French farmhouse. Set within a tranquil secluded garden surrounded by farmland, the property has 13 acres of land to explore and enjoy. The river runs just below the gite and is available for fishing, paddling or just peaceful contemplation. The 5x10m pool is heated to 29 degrees C between Easter and the end of October and has a full height retractable cover, allowing guests to enjoy it whatever the weather and ensuring pleasurable swimming into October. The pool is for exclusive use by the gite guests. There are loungers and sun shades. Pool towels can be hired. Just by the house there is a covered area with BBQ, table and chairs - perfect for alfresco dining. Only 4.5km from the village of Faye L'abbesse which has a bread shop, well stocked supermarket, pharmacy and restaurant with take away pizza service. There is one double bedroom with on suite including shower. A twin bedroom and a third bedroom with bunk beds. There is separate shower room and toilet. The twin bedroom has an additional connecting door into the double room. This can be left open for families with children, or can be locked for privacy. The modern fully equipped kitchen / diner has dishwasher, electric oven and has gas/electric hob. There is a fridge with freezer compartment and a microwave. The lounge area has wood burning inset fireplace and comfortable seating. There is a flat screen TV with UK satellite channels. Wifi access is available. The area is great for walking and cycling and Tourist Board way marked cycle trails go past the property. Fishing is available in the river, as well as in numerous local lakes. Pescalis the International Fishing centre is approx. 30km away. The gite is between Puy de Foy (under an hour) and Futuroscope (1 hour), making it a prefect place to stay when visiting these very popular holiday attractions. The Town of Bressuire is 20 minutes away with large supermarkets and shops. The mediaeval town of Parthenay is 30 minutes with old town and large supermarkets. Beaches are 1.5 hours away. The Owners live on site and are available to offer advice and assistance as required.
