We warmly welcome singles, couples, families, bridal parties & business travellers to our private & peaceful apartment located in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood. We're just 10kms from Brisbane CBD & very close to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary & Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens. Supermarkets, a variety of fab restaurants, coffee houses etc are within short walking distance. Everything you may need is conveniently located nearby including public transport Free off street parking. Self check in if required Our air conditioned apartment is decorated in a warm inviting industrial style. It has timber floors, a covered patio, large bathroom with walk in shower & a walk in robe. French doors open out onto a private covered patio overlooking the shady and secure courtyard. It is air-conditioned & fully insulated so that it is cool & comfortable during our hot Queensland summers and warm & cosy all throughout winter. If you prefer not to use the air conditioning, a fan is also supplied during the warmer months. The air-conditioning is reverse cycle so it will heat as well during winter if needed. For extra safety we have installed hard wired, interconnected smoke alarms & also a carbon monoxide detector. The Shaker style kitchen has a combination microwave oven that grills and bakes as well as microwaves, a bench top convection oven, a 2 burner ceramic cooktop, fridge, toaster, electric jug, Nespresso coffee machine with complimentary pods and all the other usual kitchen utilities. To help you settle in we welcome you with complimentary: * Nespresso coffee pods & instant coffee * A selection of Twinings teas * Milk (if any of the above are not needed or a dietary substitute is preferred please advise) WI-FI Our wi-fi has been professionally installed to provide all of our guests with the fastest internet available in Australia on the NBN. It is free, unlimited and totally secure & protected. Passwords are changed for every guest. There is a 7.5kg front load washing machine & complimentary laundry detergent for the duration of your stay. A portable clothesline & pegs are supplied. There isn't a dryer in the apartment but one is available at the main house, just ask. There are several large supermarkets (Aldi & Woolworths) conveniently located within walking distance for pantry stocking. PLEASE NOTE: Sometimes, for reasons unknown, the amenities list omits some vital amenities so please refer to this section which covers most things. Towels and linen are supplied. There is also a supply of extra towels for your convenience. An iron & ironing board are supplied. A vacuum cleaner, broom & dustpan are supplied as are basic cleaning supplies. A porta cot, cot sheets & blanket, high chair & baby bath are available on request at no charge. Hairdryer, shampoo, liquid shower gel & other essentials are supplied. Laptop friendly workspace. 6 USB charging ports and 2 surge protector power points. Foxtel (cable) TV in both the living room & beside the queen bed. We also have Netflix and an Xbox 1 X. Walk in robe with hangers & drawers. Full length mirror. Private entry & self check in any time from 1 pm is available. Luggage drop off is available & early check ins or late check out will be accommodated when possible, please just ask. Free street parking & free parking on premises.Entry to our cosy courtyard apartment is via a private & lockable (if you wish) gate only used by guests. There are two steps up to the front door from the gate then the apartment is on one single level with no further steps. The apartment is contained within a walled courtyard. Not only does the courtyard give you privacy but also extra safety & security. From inside you can look out onto a tropical garden nestled at the base of a beautiful tree that attracts Lorikeets & Cockatoos when it bursts into flower in May. We totally respect our guests privacy but will be available whenever needed especially for business or single travellers missing the comforts of home.There is ample FREE street parking. Many brides have used our airbnb for pre /wedding day accommodation. If you are too, please let us know so that we can 'style it up' a little bit for your special day. The patio is approximately 40cm off the ground at it's highest point & you may not consider this suitable for your children.Although our secluded apartment is hidden away in a very friendly, established leafy suburb, its just a short stroll to restaurants, cafes, bars, supermarkets & other stores. At the end of our street there is parkland with childrens play equipment & a lovely wide shared pathway that meanders along a creek, under trees & links into the extensive Brisbane bikeway. A great place to walk yourself or your dog. It is a sight to see in Sept/Oct when the jacarandas are flowering & their beautiful fallen mauve flowers carpet the ground. It's even possible to do a circuit on the public exercise equipment in the park. So whether you are a traveller or a local looking for temporary accommodation while your home is being renovated (or maybe you are between houses) our guest apartment could be just perfect for you!
