Torrens View at Cudlee Creek
Gumeracha
The 1910 farmstead of 'Torrens View' provides a Queen Room and a Twin Room, Sitting Room, and Kitchen/Dining with scenic views. Lofty ceilings along with original fireplaces (not in use) and some original oak furniture in each bedroom highlights the ambiance of the era. Linen, towels and a fully functioning kitchen is provided. There is outdoor dining under the veranda overlooking the dam adjacent to the BBQ, or on the deck with panoramic views overlooking the Torrens River meandering below. A setting ideal for a weekend getaway. Meet our resident kangaroos or try fishing and explore over a kilometre of river. You can watch the ducklings from the jetty in the dam or sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy the view. Torrens View's position is half way from Adelaide to Tanunda in the heart of the Barossa, yet surrounded by the Adelaide Hills Wine region. Ideal for Winter Reds Weekend or Crush Festival. Local vignernons close by include Paracombe estate, Kersbrook Hill, Anderson Hill, Pike and Joyce and Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyards. Hold a Koala at the Gorge Wildlife Park (three times a day) - see them in the roadside trees especially on the way to Anderson Hill Wines. The nearby Cudlee Creek Tavern has a cosy wood fire in Winter and meals are available all day. The Cudlee Cafe is only a few hundred metres and is a very popular meeting spot for all ages also a scenic spot for a meal. Enjoy mountain bike riding at the nearby Fox Creek Park and of course road riding up the challenging Gorge Road all the way from Adelaide. The property overlooks historic Union Bridge and is on the Heysen Trail winding north past Milbrook Reservoir and south through the Mt Crawford Forrest.
