Charming, lovingly renovated apartment in the center of Bad Tabarz directly in the Thuringian Forest. Our 2018 refurbished and lovingly furnished apartment is located right in the center of the beautiful health resort Bad Tabarz. The 50 m² apartment is fully equipped and is located directly in the center of the village, as well as within walking distance of the Thuringian Forest and nature. From the front door you can start your walks and excursions, go skiing and climbing or stroll through the small village. Or you use the only 5 min. distant Thuringian Forest Railway to get to the nearest towns Friedrichroda, Walterhausen or Gotha. Our apartment is located on the ground floor of the 1876 Schiefernhauses built and impresses with its charming, cozy style. It has an open-plan living and dining area, with a comfortable seating area and TV, and a separate bedroom with a double bed. A baby travel bed, we provide if required free of charge. The bathroom is equipped with toilet and walk-in shower. A direct access to the garden is given and garden sharing is possible. Our little guests will find there a swing, a sandpit and many play and driving equipment. A car parking lot is available directly in front of the house free of charge. Our apartment is a Non smoking apartment and pets are not allowed. Minimum stay is three nights. Take a break! We are looking forward to your visit! The air and Kneipp spa town of Bad Tabarz is located at 394 m above sea level. NHN and lies with its scarcely 4000 inhabitants in the northwestern Thuringian forest. It is an ideal starting point for countless excursion destinations, which can be reached on foot, by train or car. Nearby and easy to see from everywhere is the 916.5 m high Inselsberg with its lookout tower and a wonderful view over the Thuringian countryside. Winter sports are also a priority. Right in town, cross-country skiers and beginners can enjoy the snow for downhill skiing. Around the Inselsberg as well as in Oberhof there are other ski areas in which everyone gets their money's worth. Tobogganing possibilities can be found in the immediate vicinity. Both a ski rental and ski lessons are located in the village and are within walking distance. Climbing fans will also find many opportunities to go new ways at altitude. So we have directly in place a climbing forest and various climbing sites in the beautifully situated Lauchagrund. For hikers, there are numerous hiking trails to explore. The dreamlike Aschenbergstein as well as the Tabarzer Vulkansteig and nearby Rennsteig are a must for every hiker. Enjoy the fresh air of the Thuringian Forest and breathe again. All trails are well signposted, hiking maps are available from us or at the tourist office. If you prefer to go on an exploration tour of the city, invite some beautiful cities around Bad Tabarz for a trip. With the Thuringian Forest Railway you can easily and directly in our 22 km distant county town Gotha. The cityscape of Gotha is dominated by the baroque castle Friedenstein. It was the residence of the dukes of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg as well as Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Worthwhile here are also the Natural History Museum and the observatory. The town of Eisenach is 31 km away and lies in the west of Thuringia. Once the famous composer Johann Sebastian Bach was born here. His birthplace, the Bach House, can be visited. Above the city is the world-famous Wartburg, which is definitely worth a visit as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In 1522, Martin Luther translated the New Testament, so that today Eisenach counts among the Luther cities. As a special attraction counts, especially with children, riding on a donkey, on which the last piece to the Wartburg can be covered. As the provincial capital and at the same time the largest city in Thuringia, Erfurt, which can be reached by car in approx. 40 min. easy to reach, a wide range of versatility. As one of the city's most famous landmarks, the Krämerbrücke bridge invites visitors to visit. It is the longest bridge in Europe built entirely of houses and a photo of the beautiful half-timbered houses where artists live and work is a must. In addition to the famous Krämerbrücke, Erfurt Cathedral is one of the city's main attractions. Furthermore, Erfurt has a large medieval old town center with numerous parish churches, the Baroque citadel Petersberg, the oldest surviving synagogue in Central Europe and countless half-timbered houses.
