Ideal for sitting outside in the shade or sunshine, perfect for eating your croissants on the East facing terrace and planning your day out at the pretty village of Talmont 6kms to the West on the Gironde estuary, or a further 4 kms up the coast is the lovely beach at Meschers. Royan is another 5kms up the coast and is a very popular resort with a vast choice of shops and restaurants and just the other side is the famous zoo at La Palmyre. If you prefer to head inland try a trip to Cognac (50kms) and visit the distilleries or the pretty bustling little town of Saintes (30kms). A great base from which to explore the area.
