Hidden amongst the trees at the end of a 2km gravel lane bordered by dry-stone walling and fields of sheep this delightful well-equipped wooden chalet is completely private and perfect if you want some time out to recharge your batteries. To help you relax there is a hammam (charges apply) and 2 pools – one private, outdoor, above-ground, heated pool for the summer and an above-ground heated indoor pool (shared) for the colder months. It also has an exercise room with workout equipment. The grounds are extensive and the hiking and cycling opportunities in the surrounding countryside are limitless. In spite of being secluded the property is conveniently placed for local amenities as Labastide-Murat, at 7kms, has all the necessary services and a weekly open-air market. The region is also a thriving tourist destination so there is plenty to do and visit. To the North is Rocamadour (22kms) with the Chapelle de Notre Dame and its statue of the Black Madonna perched on the cliffs above the steep ravine of the l Alzou river. Here you can also visit Le Foret de Singe – a monkey park or watch the bird of prey shows in Le Rocher des Aigles. Gramat (20 kms) to the North-East has a Parc Amimalier which is open all year round and a little further at 30kms is the Gouffre de Padirac where you can visit the caves by boat. To the South are the grottes du Pech-Merle (30kms) with their original paintings and at Cabrerets (33kms) the river Célé where you can do river sports. Throughout the region you are spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants serving the local specialities. The property is particularly welcoming to pets. NB the toilet facilities are at a distance from the chalet.
