It shares a wooden decked above ground pool and lovely walled gardens with property FCH204 which can be hired separately or with this cottage. As well as the main lounge, there is a sun lounge at the back which opens out onto the West facing terrasse and gardens beyond. This is a very popular area in France, benefitting from plenty of sunshine and hot summer days, perfect to sit by the swimming pool and look over the lovely gardens. The more active can walk to the village of Aulnay with its bars, restaurants, shops, supermarket and weekly market. There are several other attractive villages locally, and the town of St Jean d'Angély (18kms) which has a beach lake, pedallos and entertainment. The coast is within an hour and days out to famous sites such as La Rochelle, the islands and the distilleries of Cognac offer a variety of entertainment, whilst there is also Futuroscope just under an hour and a half to the North.
