The Stables at La Haute Hague is the perfect family cottage set in a small hamlet surrounded by countryside near to Villedieu les Poeles, Lower Normandy, France. One of 3 holiday cottages available at La Haute Hague the Stables has partially exposed stone walls and wood beams which add a lovely charm to the spacious open-plan kitchen/living area. The Stables has a ground floor twin bedroom with en-suite which is ideal for grandparents or anyone who struggles with stairs. The Stables adjoins the Farmhouse where the owners, Paul and Lisa live year round with their dog, Buster. The large front lawn is an absolute favourite with children and parents alike as there is lots of space to run and play in safety. There is sufficient room for a spot of football or cricket and we have a badminton/tennis net available for your use. A round, above ground pool is situated in the rear garden and is in full view from the Stables' rear terrace. The pool is shared with the two other holiday cottages at La Haute Hague and is heated* from Mid July to the end of August. There is also a full size table tennis table available. 3 Golf clubs within 35 mins. Broadband Internet (wifi) available. La Haute Hague is situated in a calm hamlet just minutes from the beautiful town of Villedieu-les-Poeles which is famous for its locally-crafted copperware which is sold all over Europe. Visitors can wander through the bustling weekly market which sells fresh local produce and delicious regional specialities, or just relax with a coffee in one of the many pavement cafés in the attractive town centre. La Haute Hague is also only 2 minutes from the A84 giving instant access to many major towns and attractions. We are within easy distance of the D day landing beaches, Bayeux and its famous tapestry, the magnificent Mont St Michel and the pretty coastal town of Granville with its miles of golden sandy beaches. For the younger visitor there are plenty of attractions including the Zoo at Champrepus, Festyland in Caen, La Village Enchanté at Bellefontaine and L'Ange Michel at St Martin de Landelles. The Stables front door opens directly into the open plan living dining and kitchen area. The kitchen is fully equiped with modern facilities and plenty of work surface and cupboard space. Facilities include dishwasher, washing machine, gas hob, gas oven, michrowave oven, combined fridge/freezer plus all necessary crockery and utensils. An Iron, ironing board, glothes airer and clothes line are also provided. In the dining area a wooden dining room table seats up to 6 people. The living area offers comfortable seating and beautiful views over the gardens through patio doors which lead to a wood terrace and is equipped with comfy seating, English TV, DVD and CD players, VCR and Hi Fi. Broadband internet is available via WIFI. Stairs lead up to the first floor where the two bedrooms are separated by the bath room. One bedroom is furnished with a double bed, the other with twin single beds. The bathroom comprises of toilet, hand basin and bath. The ground floor bedroom is tiled, the first floor bedrooms are carpeted. Bedding and bed linen are included. Towels (hand towel and bathtowel) are not included but are available when prebooked at a cost of £4 per person per week. For small children, a Baby Pack including travel cot, high chair and stair gates can be hired at a small additional cost when requested in advance.
