“The Full Stop” or “Dot” as we have dubbed her is a dedicated short stay home restored and vamped up to create a comfortable, but unmistakably glamorous space for visitors to Ipswich and locals in need of a short term abode. Dot has had a distinguished career since the mid 50’s as a family home - the same family! We acquired her at the end of that dynasty and set about bringing her well worn self into the state she is today for the sole purpose of impressing guests in a short stay format. As a vintage item, she’s mid-century and all the rage. To add to that, we have also collected and restored quality furniture pieces from that era and older, to give the full experience and show off the home as it was intended. Our passion for restoring quality homes in an authentic manner for their long term soundness as well as beautifying the neighbourhood and town of Ipswich, combined with our all round brilliant guest services and drive to promote the area, ensure you will enjoy this town and your stay in a way few people get to. Dot has been created to be family friendly and that includes your furry members too. We have dogs and a cat too. We know how hard it is to travel with them and find a place to stay. We know often you have to sacrifice your comfort to ensure you have them with at Dot. If you stay at Dot you get the full experience, and your pet too! If you’re not travelling with your pet, don’t worry, you won’t even know they were here with other guests. There is no compromise at all with our pet friendly property. What about the kids? You can bring them too! Dot sleeps five adults, but we can cater for one more child too. So let us know and we’ll make that happen. We also have kids, so we have thought about yours during the restoration too. There’s a fully fenced back yard with a gate latch to fool them for a bit before they can get away. The stairs at the front aren’t accessible unless the front door is open. In that regard, the handle is super high for kids and you can lock it from the inside if you like. Other than that it’s the usual supervision required inside and they don’t have access to the front yard or road. So, what’s included? Everything. Bring your bags, put them down and relax. The beds are made. Tea and coffee, milk and Tim Tams are all here. This is truly a house that should make you feel at home, once you work out where everything is. Two full size queen rooms, and a single room-come-office are beautifully furnished and ready for use. There’s a large bathroom with a full walk in shower and bath tub. There’s also a separate powder room off the laundry. The laundry has a super size washer and a dryer. The cupboard space and sink double as a butlers pantry too. We have a bbq and seating outside to enjoy the great weather you can expect from Ipswich. The kitchen is also fully appointed with dishwasher, oven, microwave, stove and coffee pod machine. Plenty of dishes and cooking equipment, even and odds ends drawer. All consumables are catered for. Except the wine, byo there.
