"Sjökullen" does not mean a place name, but rather describes the location of the Swedish villa. "Sjö" means "lake" and "Kulle" stands for hills or smaller mountains - a house on a small mountain by the lake. The house is located in the Västergötland region, near the town of Svenljunga. You can enjoy your well-deserved days off in our house on the terrace and the 6000 sqm forest plot and look out over the lake in heavenly peace. This can be reached after a 80 m walk. If you walk about 400 m further, you will reach the larger lake, where a pretty swimming area is waiting to be conquered by you. You will hardly notice anything from the neighbors, because the next houses are about 400 m away. The holiday home offers space for up to 8 people, two families can spend their vacation here. Two large master bedrooms offer the necessary space, in the upper one there is also a baby bed. A bed is offered in each of the two smaller bedrooms. For two other guests, mattresses are available, which can be placed individually and as desired in the corresponding bedroom. You will find modern electrical appliances in the kitchen. An oven, an electric cooker, a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a microwave, a coffee machine, a toaster, a blender and a kettle are available for use. You can also spend cozy evenings by the fireplace and watch German TV programs. A television is also in the lower bedroom. Only DVDs or Bluerays can be watched here. Radios are of course also available. It is possible to use a rowing boat on the large lake. There are four life jackets in the house. You are welcome to bring your own motor from home or rent a motor by prior arrangement. The boat is on its own jetty at Stora Kvarnsjön. You will also find our private jetty at Lilla Kvarnsjön, just a few steps away from the house entrance. Long walks are ideal in the idyllic area. But it is also not far to Gothenburg (approx. 1 hour drive) or Jönköpping (also approx. 1 hour). The nearby coast of the Baltic Sea and the archipelago that begins under Gothenburg can be reached just as quickly. Many wonderful lakes are waiting to be discovered by you. You may even have discovered one of them when you arrived near the village of Holsjunga. But don't miss the side trip to Ullared, where a special shopping experience awaits you. It is worth planning a vacation day for this. In winter you can ski in Isaberg and Ulricehamn. You can find more tips for trips on the linked homepage. After exciting day trips, you can relax with a barbecue in the evening. And maybe you are lucky enough to see the moose family that sometimes shows up in the area. Many previous guests have succeeded so far, even on the property. In any case, the evening would be the right time for it. Deer like to run across the property. In Svenljunga, 9 km away, you will find a large supermarket, some specialty shops, a post office, banks and (hopefully not necessary) medical facilities. Problems on site can be quickly clarified with the German, English or Swedish speaking contact persons. Important: o Bed linen, towels, tea towels and cleaning agents are not provided. It is possible to rent bed linen and towels. o Firewood for the fireplace is not provided, but can be bought very cheaply from the nearest neighbor. o The house is not rented to youth groups. o Pets are not allowed. o Smoking in the house is not permitted. Deposit: o With the rental payment, a deposit of 200 euros is to be transferred, which (if there are no complaints about the condition of the house) will be refunded by bank transfer no later than 14 days after departure. Charges: o Electricity costs of 3 SEK / kwh are payable on the day of departure when the house is handed over in SEK. o There is the possibility of a final cleaning after prior registration. This costs 1100 SEK. This is payable on site when the house is handed over on the day of departure in SEK. It does not include the final cleaning of the kitchen including the electrical appliances and waste disposal. Precise explanations can be found in the house rules belonging to the rental agreement.
