It is a fully-serviced, newly-renovated apartment operated by a professional property management company, guaranteeing a comfortable, hassle-free stay. This first-floor apartment forms part of a quiet seafront block, accessible by a common stairwell and a common balcony. One can appreciate views of the Grand Harbour’s Kalkara Creek from this space before entering the apartment. The apartment consist of an open living/dining area, fully equipped kitchen set for advanced cooking, a double bedroom, a bathroom and a small courtyard. The building was once home to the American Gem Theatre, a cinema built in the late 1950s. Since the structure has been retrofitted into a number of apartments, with some of the original steel beams and metre-thick walls still intact. This bright first floor apartment was once the cinema's top gallery. The crisp interiors aim to compliment the building's modernist architecture. The palette of bianco carrara terazzo and shades of grey and green serves as a background for an electric mix of vintage furniture, authentic arts and designer ornaments. It has a sunny living room with seafront views from its South-facing windows, a sizeable kitchen, and a single bedroom and bathroom. About the area The apartment is located in Kalkara, the quieter, greener sibling to the historic Cottonera's Three Cities. Boasting unemcumbured views of the Grand Harbour's Kalkara Creek, this property sits comfortably within the village's vibrant seafront Pjazza. A neighbour to the Parish church, it occurs steps away from shops, restaurants and beaches. The apartment is easily located within the town's main square, with a bus stop a few meters away and ample free parking along the promenade. It's a short ten-minute ride from the airport, and a quick bus- or boat trip away from Valletta. It's within walking distance from the Cottonera's main sites, and a few metres away from Esplora Interactive Science Centre. More specific details on the apartment's whereabouts will be communicated upon completion of a booking. We provide a self check-in for guests leaving detailed instructions upon booking confirmation and inside the apartment. The keys can be collected from a secure key-box with combination code that is attached to the facade. Upon booking confirmation we will provide you with the code. If you encounter any issues with the self-check-in procedure we will come over to assist you at all times. Please bring your passports or ID cards of all the guests staying in the apartment. Please note that water and electricity is included in the price but we urge you to make sure that the airco's are switched off when you leave the apartment. We welcome guests who wish to stay longer than 7 nights but we do impose a mandatory cleaning after the 7th night at 35 euros.
