Most of the Silver Coast coastline is an almost unbroken stretch of wide, white, and pristine beaches with a wealth of space, hit by the majestic Atlantic. Even in high season, these beautiful sandy beaches, and you will often find yourself as the only day visitor to many of these Praias. There are many possibilities for hiking in the area, and the most passionate hikers will definitely appreciate the Parque Natural das Serras de Aire e Candeeiros. A treasure trove of magnificent historical towns and villages are just a short drive away, such as Obidos, Caldas da Rainha, Batalha, Tomar, Leiria, Fatima, and Coimbra.
