There are several canals which connects a few villages and the historical sity's of Delft and Maassluis. The canals flow through a nature reserve which can be explored by rowing boat and canoe (for free) or electrical sloop. Or viewed from a waterfront terras. Through the ferry a cross the river at Maassluis, the South Holland islands are near. Hoek van Holland beach is also nearby (15km) Amsterdam lays within 60km and is also easy accessible by train. The area offers a lot, like Good (organic) restaurants/lunch café's were local products are being used. a Pancake restaurant, a Golf course, farms with activities for kids and a country store.
