La Chapelle Farmhouse

The house and cottage are enclosed with gardens and pool to the rear (normally open May-Sept) and ample off-road parking to the front. La Chapelle is ideally situated between the market towns of Sauze Vaussais and Chef Boutonne, in a peaceful rural hamlet, truly away from it all, superb for walking and cycling with fields of sunflowers and a wide variety of wildlife. Locally there are some excellent inexpensive restaurants with local specialities. The area has many rivers, lakes, chateaux and Roman churches. The larger towns of Poitiers, Niort and Angouleme, all good for shopping and days out, are all around 40 minutes away. The picturesque Marais Poiteven, the Green Venice of France, with its network of canals ideal for boating and sightseeing is also within easy distance. Over on the coast, around an hours drive away, are the famous Atlantic resorts of La Rochelle, Isle de Re, Royan and the Isle d'Oleran, famed as the prettiest and most traditional resorts with sandy beaches
