Welcome to “Ruten Fjellstue” and “Systugu”, a child-friendly, traditional, safe and nice place to spend your holiday. The holiday apartment is located at the same plot as the mountain lodge “Ruten Fjellstue”, a family owned tourist company with history dating back to early farm life in Norway. The lodge was established in 1939 and the tradition as a mountain lodge in what is called “Norway’s friendly wilderness” in long and with a good reputation. It was just here to Espedalen that they came, the first pioneer tourists to Jotunheimen in 1880 and created a vivid depiction of the extraordinary natural qualities of the area. The lakes offer great conditions for boating, canoeing and fishing experiences during the summer. In winter the ice-covered surface of the water creates a special harmony. This is Norwegian nature at its best. In this landscape you can go skiing or hiking to Storhøa or the Ruten massif (1518 meters above sea level). At nice days you can look out over almost a hundred of Norway’s highest mountain peaks from Ruten. At Ruten Mountain Lodge you can enjoy the good life. You can decide between making your own food at the holiday apartment or you can have lunch or dinner in the lodge at the well-known kitchen that offers great Norwegian tradition food. After the meal, you can choose whether you want to rest in front of the fireplace at the apartment or enjoy nice company and service at the lodge. In summer time there is a lot of exciting activities in the area, such as horse riding, hiking in a varied terrain, peak hikes to Jotunheimen and fishing opportunities. Opportunities for canoe rental. The apartment is located at the same plot as N31370. Please note that: Bed linen and towels are not included in the room rate. Guests can rent them at the property for an additional charge of NOK 150.00 per person or bring their own. Consumption costs are included in the room rate.
