The Middelburg Room In Holland House. Close To The Beach In Naples On The Gulf

Holland House is a great relaxed vacation community. We are located on Lake Kelly. A small but beautiful lake full of fish. Something very special about the lake is that you will see the jumping Mullets. In the private (for our guests) back yard you will find the floating deck with several kayaks for you to use free of charge. Spread around over the yard are lounge chairs and tables with chairs. We have some kayaks, fishing rods, a fire place and a gas grill for our guests. All this at no extra charge. There is a small coin operated laundromat with ironing board. The Middelburg room is one of the most popular rooms. It has a private entrance, full bathroom and kitchenette. We can sometimes allow pets (Dogs) at a small daily fee. Only ADA registered dogs are recognized as service dogs. This apartment has a small safe installed for your personal use. Guest access Here you have your own place away from home. The house is divided into apartments. Each with it's own entrance, kitchen unit and bathroom. Kind of like a small resort. In the backyard is a lovely lake full of fish and wildlife. You will see jumping mullets all over. The ducks do their rounds and turtles will stick out their heads above water. Now and then an alligator might swim by. In the summer the mango trees drop their delicious fruit and a little later the avocado tree will do the same. There is a fire pit with plenty of wood to burn and a BBQ. For guest who like to fish we have fishing rods available. You can share the yard and the floating decks (enter at your own risk) with the other guests. There is plenty of seating space in the yard and on the decks. Our floating deck is the most popular place to hang out. You are close to the Beautiful Naples Beaches. Restaurants and parks are within walking distance. The famous Botanical gardens of Naples are located within half mile from this studio. Downtown is only 3 miles away. This fully equipped apartment has all what's necessary for a great vacation. A coin operated washer and dryer are accessible on site. You can use the kayak to get around in the lake but if you really want to discover how beautiful this place is with the small islands that are settled you might want to join one of our guided kayak/ snorkeling tours. Guest interaction Either me or Kimi, my in housekeeper, are usually available. We both know Naples pretty well and can advise as to where to go for beaches, shopping or other sorts of entertainment. Neighborhood overview Neighborhood overview We are so close to downtown and the beaches it is no wonder that this place people want to be. There are 4 stunning parks within 2 mile radius. The beautiful lake Avalon in Sugden Park is right around the corner. This park includes a small very safe beach. There is a water-ski center and a sail school. You can learn to sail within a week if you want. It is very economical. I believe 5 lessons of about 3 hours each cost about $150. You can also rent a sail boat, peddle board or kayaks or play sports. Or just walk or bike around the lake. This walk is about 2 miles and you will see all sorts of Florida wildlife. This is an older neighborhood in transition. There are a number of older mobile homes but new houses are taking over and soon the mobile homes will be gone forever. It's very SAFE and many people have been here most of their life. They know and care for each other. It's a hidden gem. Restaurants and small businesses are settling close by. Many artists & nature lovers have also discovered the tranquility of this place. Getting around Having a car to get around is still your best option. However The Greyhound bus station is about 1.5 miles away. City Bus stop is a couple of hundred yards on Bayshore dr.
