Welcome to this lovely cabin built in traditional, Norwegian style. The cabin has large and spacious terraces, perfect for enjoying nice days outside. The cabin has a south-facing location towards Ringerudseter and Høgfjell with a view over a small pond. This is the high mountain area that is closest to Oslo, but which is still right next to the protected areas in the southern part of Vassfaret. Here you can experience the wilderness with moose, deer and even bear. The whole area is depicted in Mikkel Fønhus’ books about life and wilderness in Vassfaret. The cabin is located in the middle of a network of DNT-trails (blue marked trails) – a perfect starting point for summit hikes to Høgefjell, Urdevassfjell, Gyranfisen and Sandvasskollen. There are great hiking destinations with unique views both summer and winter. For those who want to go fishing, there are great fishing opportunities in the area. It is only a short distance to Sperillen, with a lot of trout and whitefish. The main river “Begna”, both above and below Sperillen, is one of the most popular fishing rivers in southern Norway. In late summer and autumn you can go berry and mushroom picking. The cabin is located in the same area as N37990. Please note that: Bed linen and towels are not included in the room rate. Guests can rent them at the property for an additional charge of NOK 150.00 per person or bring their own.
