Welcome to this holiday house in Lensvik. The house can be dated all the way back the 18th century, and is one of the oldest houses in the area. Lensvik is well known as the “strawberry village” in Trøndelag. Apart from strawberries, the place has many things to offer for those who love nature. The holiday house is located close to Utnesvatnet, a lake that is ideal for freshwater fishing in both summer and winter. There are also several other great fishing lakes in the area. Øyangsvatnet and Trondheimsfjorden offers fjord fishing. If you go to Orkanger, you can try salmon fishing in the famous river Orkla. Remember to check local rules for fishing and fishing license. There are also nice hiking opportunities in the area. A hike to Hestgrovheia or Sørvarden is recommended and offers great nature experiences and nice views. There are also nice opportunities for biking, as well as horseback riding. For those interested in history, there are many places to visit such as burial sites from the Viking Age. Lensvik and Agdenes are located at the “entrance” to Nidaros (now Trondheim) and were therefore an important area, and you can see several monuments and facilities from the two world wars here. A day trip to Trondheim is recommended, and instead of using the car you can take a speedboat from Lensvik. Other places that are worth a visit is Løkken and Thamshavn.
