Spacious 3 bed barn gite, shared pool and gym and spacious gardens

* The position and private terraces of the gites enable natural social distancing. We have implemented additional cleaning practices in all areas of the property, e.g. gites and the shared areas - gym, games room and pool area. Each of the 3 gites has a dedicated colour coded seating area within the pool area. We are in a rural calming landscape, relaxation and tranquility is guaranteed in the beautiful Charentaise barn. The gite (Souris) sleeps 6 in three spacious bedrooms (double and 2 twins). The open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area is light and spacious with double doors opening out onto a private cobbled patio area facing onto the garden with pool and countryside views. The patio area has a table and chairs, sun chairs, a water feature, a parasol and a BBQ for the important Al Fresco dining and summer BBQ’s. The fully equipped french style kitchen has electric oven/hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, cafetière, utensils, crockery, cutlery. Downstairs is completed by a utility room and a shower/WC. The utility room has a washing machine, iron and ironing board, clothes airer, cleaning materials, vacuum cleaner and washing basket. All Gites have French and English television as well as use of our extensive DVD library. Upstairs the configuration is made up of three spacious vaulted ceiling bedrooms complete with open faced stone walls and oak ceiling beams. The garden facing master bedroom has a double bed, wardrobes and cupboard storage. There are also two light and airy twin bedrooms. Upstairs is completed by an upstairs bathroom with shower, basin and WC. The Gites sit in several acres of mature gardens with fruit trees and sensitive planting to provide utmost privacy. The bubble shaped pool is in a secure area and is shared by the 3 gites. The uniform depth of 1.25m makes it ideal for non-swimmers and children. Sun loungers/parasols are provided for guests. The pool area is large enough for each gite to have ample floor space. The gym in the old barn is available for use by guests with exercise machines, multi-gym, weights, bells, mats and a games machine. Additionally, we have a book library and a selection of outdoor and indoor games and puzzles for all ages. With little or no light, air or noise pollution and just the sound of nature, Tillac is the perfect place to holiday, a place to relax, unwind, de-stress and enjoy a holiday as a holiday. A real opportunity to re-charge your batteries. Tillac is perched on the edge of a small hamlet surrounded by vineyards and farmland (typically wheat, corn and sunflowers). For 2020, we will be surrounded by sunflowers. Whilst being in a rural hamlet location, local amenities are within driving distance. The local bakers is a short drive away, the town of Mouthe-sur-Boeme is a 5 minute drive away, with Blanzac and Villebois-Lavalette about 15 minutes drive. The fortified hilltop town of Angouleme is a 20 minute drive, Cognac about 30 minutes and the Atlantic coastal sand beaches, just over an hour. We can arrange local wine tours, a visit to the local chateau or castle, bike hire, boat hire or even a ride in a hot air balloon.
