Les Bartelles is a renovated 200-year-old barn, air conditioning in 2 bedrooms, a private securely gated, fenced infinity swimming pool with valley views, set in the beautiful Dordogne region near Bergerac southwest France. This tranquil countryside location offers the perfect place to relax and unwind with wonderful views and ideal for those sunsets. A selection of local cafe bars, restaurants, supermarket and a weekly market is just a short drive away at the historical town of Eymet (10km) and is within easy reach of other bastide towns, chateaux and vineyards. 11km from the medieval village of Issigeac with its famous Sunday morning market. This holiday villa is a short drive of the ancient town centres of Monsegur 40km (Gironde) and Duras 32km (Lot et Garonne), Bergerac 22km (Dordogne), Lauzun 10km and Sainte Foy la Grande 35km these towns have bars, restaurants, banks, shops and supermarkets as well as weekly farmers markets and night market in the peak summer months. Bedrooms: The 2 main bedrooms are located in the eaves of the house, the natural character of the property means that some of the beams/doorways are quite low. Air conditioning is in bedrooms 1 and 2, a hairdryer is also provided. Bedroom 1. Double bedroom – upper floor (please note low beams). A pretty room with a double bed (150 x 194cm). A maximum of 4 guests in total is permitted. Cleaning/towels/linen: Bed linen, bath towels, pool towels are provided and included in the price. Children's and baby facilities: There are x1 cot, x1 highchair and stair gate are available on request. Please provide your own cot linen/bedding. Bathroom: Located on the ground floor next to the reading room. Bath with shower over, washbasin, and wc. Kitchen: The modern well-equipped kitchen has a good range of facilities including a dishwasher, electric oven with 4 gas rings, extractor hood, microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster and dining table. Utility area: Laundry area with washing machine, iron and ironing board. Living room: The cosy lounge has a fireplace with wood burning stove, TV with French and English speaking Satellite free to air channels. French doors open onto the west-facing covered shaded terrace, gardens with views over the countryside. The garden: Covered shaded terrace overlooking the garden and rolling countryside beyond. A BBQ is provided for alfresco eating and there is plenty of outside furniture. The garden surrounds the property, in a peaceful setting. Further shade can be found under a nearby tree in the garden which provides a cool spot to relax away from the sun. Private off-road parking plus covered parking in the barn opposite the cottage for one car, in the other part of the barn, is table tennis. Private infinity pool: The infinity pool measures 11.5m x 7.5m and 1.5m deep, has walk-in steps at one end and a sun terrace with loungers and parasols all with stunning views over the valley below. Coast, Beach and Water park: A freshwater lake with a sandy beach at Blasimon is 60km away and is a popular attraction to take children for a day out.
