Saint Germain (4-5 p.) Charentais Cottage

Beautiful 300-year-old Charentais stand-alone farmhouse suitable for families (and groups, when rented with other properties on the estate). Saint German is a nice stroll through the wooded walk to the Chateau and pool area. It has a lovely view over the two lakes in the valley of the Logis de Beaulieu estate. Its peaceful and secluded location make it an ideal place to relax and unwind. There are three other properties on the estate - please take a look at the overview-photo (in the photos). Saint Germain is a stone farm house typical for the region, with two large fires places, beautiful wooden details, and original tiled flooring. Guests staying in Saint Germain have privacy in the garden surrounding the house. They also have access to the entire estate including its lovely walks, the lake with its rowing boat, the tennis court, and of course the stunning infinity swimming pool by the Chateau. Note: the tennis court is not of a professional standard. Our wonderful caretakers, who live onsite, welcome the guests and are available for any questions you might have. Beaulieu is situated at the southern edge of the Charente Departement. The region is a charming hilly landscape with vineyards, pine, oak, and chestnut forests, grain and sunflower fields. The Charente is also home to the famous brandy Cognac, which is worth discovering. Easily accessible for the Atlantic coast with beautiful beaches as well the city of Bordeaux. Bordeaux Merignac airport offers flights across Europe. The airport is about an hour's drive away from Beaulieu, and there are different rental car companies to pick up a car. The nearest TGV train station is in Angouleme, which is about 30 minutes away. You can find car rental companies here as well. There are three other holiday rentals on the estate: The Château in the main courtyard, and two gîte holiday rentals in the neighbor courtyard of the Château. The Saint Germain cottage is rather isolated from the courtyard, but not too far away for enjoying the swimming pool.
