Château Beaulieu (11 p.) 18th century estate

17th century Château within a large estate that features woods, fields, meadows, and three lakes, located on the northern slope of a small valley. The Château is in the center of the grand courtyard, with 2 other apartments in a side courtyard. Please take a look at the overview-photo to better understand the estate. Guests have access to the stunning infinity pool (shared) and enjoy privacy in an enclosed large garden behind the Chateau.  The picturesque Chateau is from the 17th century and surrounded by a beautiful courtyard which is entered through majestic railings and wrought iron gates.  The main entrance and wooden staircase boast original features and rustic elegance of the architecture of the era. These traits follow through the whole of the Chateau, with wooden floors and beams, stone flooring, magnificent fireplaces, vintage bathroom and kitchen fittings, and eclectic furniture.  Guests staying in the Chateau have privacy in the enclosed garden. They also have access to the entire estate including its lovely walks, the lake with its rowing boat, the tennis court, and of course the stunning infinity swimming pool. Note: the tennis court is not of a professional standard.  Our wonderful caretakers, who live onsite, welcome the guests and are available for any questions you might have.  Beaulieu is situated at the southern edge of the Charente Departement.  The region is a charming hilly landscape with vineyards, pine, oak, and chestnut forests, grain and sunflower fields. The Charente is also home to the famous brandy Cognac, which is worth discovering. Easily accessible for the Atlantic coast with beautiful beaches as well the city of Bordeaux.  Bordeaux Merignac airport offers flights across Europe. The airport is about an hour's drive away from Beaulieu, and there are different rental car companies to pick up a car.  The nearest TGV train station is in Angouleme, which is about 30 minutes away. You can find car rental companies here as well.  There are three other holiday rentals on the estate: Two rentals in a side courtyard, and the cottage Saint Germain in the valley.
