* The position and private terraces of the gites enable natural social distancing. We have implemented additional cleaning practices in all areas of the property, e.g. gites and the shared areas - gym, games room and pool area. Each gite has a dedicated colour coded seating area within the pool area. Set in a private courtyard, Alouette is part of the original farm building infrastructure. The cottage is all on one level accessed by a small number of steps. A mixture of old and new, the cottage has been upgraded with double glazing and a modern bathroom. The open plan lounge/kitchen/diner a airy with views into the courtyard. The two courtyard facing bedrooms are are located either side of the open plan lounge. The modern bathroom has a separate toilet room, a utility area with washing machine and a separate shower room. All Gites have French and English television available and use of an extensive DVD library. The inner courtyard is exclusively for Alouette guests and adjacent to the cottage is an open barn which is an Al Fresco dining area. The cottage contains all the modern day appliances that one would need. Sun chairs are provided. Just bring yourselves and your luggage for an enjoyable stay. The gym in the old barn is available for use by guests with exercise machines, multi-gym, weights, bells, mats and a games machine. Additionally, we have a book library and a selection of outdoor and indoor games and puzzles for all ages. Not far from civilization, but set in a rural location, Tillac is perched on the edge of a small hamlet surrounded by vineyards and farmland (typically wheat, corn and sunflowers). With little or no light, air or noise pollution and just the sound of nature, Tillac is the perfect place to holiday, a place to relax, unwind, de-stress and enjoy a holiday as a holiday. A real opportunity to re-charge your batteries. The gite's sit in several acres of mature gardens with fruit trees and sensitive planting to provide utmost privacy. The bubble shaped pool is in a secure area and is shared by 3 gites. The uniform depth of 1.25m makes it ideal for non-swimmers and children. Sun loungers/parasols are provided for guests. The pool area is large enough for each gite to have ample floor space. Whilst being in a rural hamlet location, local amenities are within driving distance. The local bakers is a short drive away, the town of Mouthe-sur-Boeme is a 5 minute drive away, with Blanzac and Villebois-Lavalette about 15 minutes drive. The fortified hilltop town of Angouleme is a 20 minute drive, Cognac about 30 minutes and the Atlantic coastal sand beaches, just over an hour. We can arrange local wine tours, a visit to the local chateau or castle, bike hire, boat hire or even a ride in a hot air balloon.
