* The position and private terraces of the gites enable natural social distancing. We have implemented additional cleaning practices in all areas of the property, e.g. gites and th3 shared areas - gym, games room and pool area. Each gite has a dedicated colour coded seating area within the pool area. Set in a calming rural landscape, this beautiful, spacious and imposing 3 bedroom gite - (Fauvette, the warbler) is a double height open plan stone barn conversion. It has an expansive open plan lounge and dining area (11m by 7m) with double height ceiling and a chandelier over the dining table. The adjacent French style kitchen, a utility room and a downstairs shower room with WC, and washbasin complete the downstairs. The fully equipped kitchen has everything that you could possibly need, an electric oven/hob, a dishwasher, a fridge-freezer, a microwave and utensils, crockery, cutlery etc. All Gites have French and English television available and also use of the extensive DVD library. The downstairs utility room is equipped with washing machine, iron and ironing board, clothes airer, cleaning materials, vacuum cleaner and washing basket. The configuration is completed by upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. Large barn doors open out onto the cobbled terrace for BBQ’s and Al Fresco dining. Upstairs, the mezzanine landing leads to the three very large bedrooms (Double, Twin, and Quadruple single). The gym/games room in the old barn is available for use by guests with exercise machines, multi-gym, weights, bells, mats and a games machine. Additionally, we have a book library and a selection of outdoor and indoor games and puzzles for all ages. The tariff includes all utilities, bed linen, bath and pool towels. Please note: If your stay is longer than one week, a change of linen and towels will be provided at the end of first week stay. The gite sits in several acres of mature gardens with cherry and plum fruit trees and sensitive planting around the garden that provide utmost privacy. The bubble shaped pool 11m by 7m is in a secure area, which is shared by the 3 gites. The uniform depth of 1.25m makes it ideal for non-swimmers and children. Sun loungers/parasols are provided for guests. The pool area is large enough for each gite to have ample floor space. We are not far from civilization, but set in a rural location, Tillac is perched on the edge of a small hamlet surrounded by vineyards and farmland (typically wheat, corn and sunflowers). For 2020, we will be surrounded by sunflowers. With little or no light, air or noise pollution and just the sound of nature, Tillac is the perfect place to holiday, a place to relax, unwind, de-stress and enjoy a holiday as a holiday. A real opportunity to re-charge your batteries. Whilst being in a rural hamlet location, local amenities are within driving distance. The local bakers is a short drive away, the town of Mouthe-sur-Boeme is a 5 minute drive away, with Blanzac and Villebois-Lavalette about 15 minutes drive. The fortified hilltop town of Angouleme is a 20 minute drive, Cognac about 30 minutes and the Atlantic coastal sand beaches, just over an hour. We can arrange local wine tours, a visit to the local chateau or castle, bike hire, boat hire or even a ride in a hot air balloon.
