The Buddha Barn

About this space The Buddha Barn is a zen home away from home, nestled in the woods and surrounded by calming country greenery. The Great Room portion of this house was a barn, built in the early 1700's. The original structure & wood remains intact, from the wide planked floors, to the posts, to the roof. In the 1960's a kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were added to turn this barn into a cozy home. New kitchen appliances provide the comforts of modern day life, while maintaining the vintage ambiance. The space Minutes from both the highway, and metro north train station, the Buddha Barn is the best of both worlds. Beautiful, and well equipped during all times of the year, in the summer, there is a private in ground swimming pool surrounded by natures creations.Hot summers are cooled by A/c units in the bedrooms, and cold winters are warmed with a beautiful fireplace and heating units throughout the space. Guest access The entire Buddha Barn is accessible. The only exclusions are one upstairs storage room, 2 closets and the garage. There is at least one closet and or dresser for clothes storage in each of the 3 bedrooms in the main part of the barn and drawers under one of the twin beds for clothes storage in the loft bedroom that overlooks the great room. Other things to note We own a local food business and can stock the fridge with organic, plant based, gluten free food for an extra charge.
