17th Century Pretty Cottage with pool

Set in the beautiful Charente countryside, our beautiful gite, La Boulangerie, is open and ready to welcome visitors. Part of a 13th century Estate, the property is filled with history. This gîte was originally the bakery for the big Manoir next door. The gite is spacious and delightfully cool in the summer. Its an amazing property steeped in history. We have a large garden where you can have picnics and explore. We also have horses, goats and chickens who are all friendly. We also have dogs but they have a sepearte garden so will not bother you. If you have children who would like to help feed the animals (adults also welcome) just let us know! Nearby there is plenty to do. We are between two villages and one has a supermarket. We are happy to recommend restaurants and things to do. Canoeing, horse riding and chateaus are just a few things nearby. There is also a beach at the nearby lake in Aubeterre. We are also about to be featured on A New Life in the Sun during the wee of February 14th 2022!
