The Storms Retreat

Nature is the draw here, you notice it the moment you turn off the road onto the 90ft gravel driveway. This 1.8 acre property is 5 mins from the Hudson River town of Nyack and a 45min from NYC. The 2000+ square foot house sleeps six comfortably and has an open layout over two floors. Commune with nature, build new memories with family and friends at this intimate and idyllic property. The space Relax and retreat, watch the birds and wildlife play, listen to the flowing stream and count stars at night. I created this space as a personal sanctuary and am thrilled to be able to offer it to you. On the main floor there is a wood-burning fireplace, a well-stocked kitchen and a wooden country dining table with seating for 6 in the great room. The kitchen is out-fitted with the basic necessities including quality cookware. There is an espresso machine, French press coffee maker and a blender. On this floor there is one private bedroom with a queen bed and a spa-like bathroom with an open shower. The sun-drenched upstairs loft features two outdoor decks on either side of the house, a sky-lit full bathroom with tub, a large desk and a sofa that opens to a queen sized bed. The upstairs private bedroom features a king-bed and large windows overlooking the property. You are welcome to browse and read the books on the shelves - just please do not take any with you. The sliding barn door in the downstairs living room opens onto the back deck where you’ll find a charcoal grill, seating area and a picnic table for al fresco dining. There is a washer and dryer in the utility room. Linens and towels are provided. The house is on a septic system, so please only toilet paper in the toilets! There are air conditioning units in both of the private bedrooms and a third one on the sleeping loft. Guest access Guests will have exclusive use of the entire property. Other things to note Extra Linens, extra pillows and blankets are in the chest on the loft. While the kitchen is equipped with most everything one would need to prepare a large meal, there is no microwave. Questions about Coaching or Shoots? Just ask! Pets are allowed on a case by case basis and there is an additional $100 cleaning fee per animal.
