Self contained 2 bedroom cottage 20 minutes from Edinburgh - Sleeps 4

Pilgrims Cottage is a self contained property with sits in the grounds our 16th century farm house located in the small town of Penicuik, which nestles in the shadow of the Pentland Hills. The hills and the local Penicuik Estate offer walkers ample opportunity for exploration. The historic city of Edinburgh with its multiple visitor attractions is 25 mins by car or approx 40mins on the bus (stop is directly outside). The property sits behind private gates and enjoys an acre of land with mature gardens making it a quiet and private space to retreat. The peace is occasionally interrupted by our little guard dog, Mia! The cottage itself has an open plan bedroom and sitting area and a separate double bedroom. The kitchen has all you need to fully cater for yourself. Penicuik town has two supermarkets but we recommend trying The Storehouse which stocks local produce. The cottage also has a “cosy”; shower and toilet room. That’s our way of saying you definitely cant swing a cat, although I’m sure our resident cat, Sirius would have something to say about that! Seriously though, it’s small but functional (Erica lived in the cottage for 6mths and had no problems!).
