Crac'h Couillen, a lovely house in rural Brittany

Crac’h Couillen is situated in the lovely Brittany countryside and is surrounded by fields. There is a a spacious garden and a terrace provides the opportunity to dine “al fresco”. The extensive grounds are lovingly cared for to create an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity in a well-appointed area of central Brittany which is not too far from the beautiful town of Gourin. Here you will find the Château de Tronjoly and plenty of restaurants and bars to sit and relax. From the entrance you proceed into the open plan living/ kitchen/ dining area - (an ideal space for all the family to relax together). There is a fireplace with a wood burning stove and comfortable chairs for relaxing. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom and a family bathroom. Ideal for guests with impaired mobility, although the property is not accessible by wheelchair. Leading from the open plan living area there is a staircase to the first floor. Here there is a small “snug” area where two chairs are provided. Also a DVD and board games. From here a door leads onto the terrace with views a cross the valley. The second bedroom has a double bed and a single bed. There is a bed situated in the living area on second floor which has a curtain to screen around if required, suitable for a teenager or adult. KITCHEN & DINING The modern kitchen is well equipped and includes a double oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster, and kettle. The open plan dining area has a kitchen table and 6 dining chairs. There is a washing machine and dryer provided. LIVING ROOM The open plan living area has many windows giving a light and airy feel to the room. A mixture of contemporary and country style furniture tastefully complete the look of this spacious room. A DVD player is provided (plenty of DVD’s), books and a selection of indoor board games. BEDROOMS The cottage has 2 double bedrooms. The master double bedroom is situated on the ground floor and offers a double bed, bedside cabinet with lamps, dressing table, wardrobes and chest of drawers. There is a family bathroom next door to this bedroom on the ground floor. The second double bedroom is presented as a double bed and a single bed. The bedroom has bedside cabinets with lamps, chest of drawers and a wardrobe allowing plenty of hanging space. There is a family bathroom located across the hall from this bedroom. On the mezzanine area there is another single bed, this would be suitable for a teenager or an adult. A cot can be provided for a baby. (Bedding must be provided by the guest). BATHROOMS There are two family bathrooms. There is a shower cubicle, a wash hand basin, toilet and heated towel rail in each of the bathrooms. HEATING The cottage has a wood burning stove (in the kitchen/lounge/dining). Electric heaters are also within each room. OUTSIDE Crac’h Couillen stands within private grounds and has beautiful gardens. There are large lawned areas for the children to play safely. Plenty of garden furniture and loungers are supplied to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet in a rural setting with wonderful views of the countryside. There is also charcoal bbq. PARKING There is ample space in the secure courtyard for off road parking at the property.
