Test your luck fishing in the lakes, here you will need a fishing license, and in the fjord from the shore or off a boat. We recommend taking the nearby ferry to Risør, a typical southern Norwegian town with white wooden houses, salt water aquarium, restaurants and festivals throughout the year, like e.g. the wooden boat festival in August. You can also take the boat to Stangholmen, an island with many restaurants just outside the town. This house provides a good alternative to the bigger winter destinations if you wish to spend a relaxing long weekend with cross country skiing tracks 15 km away. Only half an hour’s drive away you will find Brokelandsheia with “Den lille Dyrehagen”, a little zoo. The coastal towns Kragerø and Tvedestrand are not far away either. Cabin N36166 close by.
