I bought this entirely on the strength of the cover painting, by the great Chris Magyar. The book itself is a 50 year old "New English Library" paperback, entirely undamaged except for a big inventory bar-code sticker on the back. No loose pages, no turned-down corners. As a physical object, it's in pretty good condition.

As literature, this is "action thriller" trash, a reminder of a time when authors cranked out poor imitations of Alistair MacLean to fill the shelves of airport gift shops, pharmacies, and small bookstores. It's implausible, driven by coincidence, with no sense of time or scale, and fairly racist besides. Do not buy this book to read it! But Chris Magyar's art is nearly worth it.
